Renault India has introduced a price cut on the Lodgy MPV ranging between Rs 97,000-34,000 depending on the variant, as part of its five-year celebrations in the country. The MPV that went on sale in April last year now starts at a price tag of      Rs 7.58,831 (ex-showroom Delhi), as against the previous price tag of Rs 8.56 lakh for the base trim. That said, it is not clear yet if the discounts have been issued for a temporary period or will continue for the remainder of the year.

The discounts though are restricted on the 83bhp variant of the Lodgy, while the 108bhp powered variants remain unaffected. The discount certainly looks impressive and adds to the value for money quotient of the MPV. In comparison, prices for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga diesel start at Rs 7.08 lakh while the Honda Mobilio range starts at Rs 8.67 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
